i'll tell you why. ever since moving to rexburger, i had this idea that i would be the best housewife ever and make at least one meal a day for mikie. today i made chicken noodle soup and it was goooood. i kind of just threw a rotisserie chicken carcass, carrots, celery, bell peppers, garlic, and just other random stuff into a stockpot, covered it in chicken stock and let that sucker simmer. after an hour, i strained the broth into a different pot (i almost strained it down the sink, by habit. mikie caught me just in time.) and then threw some carrots and celery until they were soft, added some noodles and rotisserie chicken meat, and it was perfecto! basically i just guessed about all measurements. best guessing ever!
today i also drank way too much red cream soda. so good.
well we finally have internet at home. as in, mikie can now do homework at home. imagine that! so that is exciting. maybe i will start my etsy shop soon. who knows.
oh, so the other day i was feeling really sad because i missed my mom more than usual that day. i found a scripture in enos that i wanted to share:
And I soon go to the place of my rest, which is with my Redeemer; for I know that in him I shall rest. And I rejoice in the day when my mortal shall put on immortality, and shall stand before him; then shall I see his face with pleasure, and he will say unto me: Come unto me, ye blessed, there is a place prepared for you in the mansions of my Father. Amen.
little stinker.
what words of comfort and joy! anyway. i hope you all have a wonderful weekend. :)
p.s. in case you didn't notice... our baby blog has gotten a makeover! what do you think?

You are a natural cook! Most people take years of practice before they can actual throw things together and have it turn out! You mother taught you well and would be proud. I appreciated the scripture. The scriptures and the temple are a great source of comfort. Keep up the good work being "domesticated:"!
Love, Moma Lisa
Lisha!

Love ya girl!
um - ONE: i LOVE your new blog makeover. especially the picture with the sun rays beaming from you and your hubby. TWO: i am not even a huge cream soda person, but now i desperately want a red cream soda.
I still think you guys are from japan when I look at the picture, but anyway... WOW. Lisa gave you such a good complement!! I bet mom WOULD be proud! I never even knew you knew how to cook anything other than gyoza or 10 eggs at one time. (did you even cook them?! I never actually saw the end result.)
I miss mom too. Especially out here. Love you Li-Sha.
...and is it rude if I say it kind of looks like you have a toupee in the picture? Don't worry. It runs in the family on mom's side. You can have a toupee picture with the uncles too!
