in which my husband is gone for a million years

mikie's program at school decided it was an awesome idea for all the geology majors to be required to go camping five days a week, for six weeks in a row. and it is awesome! ...for all the geology majors, cause he's out there learning stuff and me... i'm just at home. so if any of you ladies have any tips on not missing your husband too much, feel free to tell me. or if you have a time-turner, i'd like to borrow that as well. thanks.

i mostly try to be active and go outside a couple of times a day. i go on walks and and bike rides. i eat lunch at the highest hill in the city. i peruse the local craft store and library. i sit and read in the sun. i sew. i continue to crochet that dang afghan. i make myself all my favorite meals that i don't normally get to make. and sometimes i watch five episodes of downton abbey in one day. sometimes that just happens.

ps. for everybody who enjoys a good jane austen-esque marathon every know and then, i present you with this rap

Why Am I the only person in the world who couldn't get into downtown abbey?!? I usually love period pieces. Um you should drool over white collar and make delicious treats. I usually just watch too much tv when Gary is gone or do excessive cleaning.

Wow, your husband's program sounds intense! Camping five days a week, for six weeks?? Crazy talk. My husband and I were apart for about three months, and I found that Netflix and my part time job kept me pretty busy, haha! And I also may or may not have watched multiple episodes of Downton Abbey in a day...

Oh Li-sha! Scot is travelling this week and I have to admit, I watched the entire second season of downton abbey in two days...other than that, I usually find random projects to do while he is gone. And getting out of the house is always helpful.
