so as you can imagine, we got nothing done until a couple of days before. and then on monday, there was this huge miscommunication with the moving truck that our visiting teacher has access to and the nice people in our ward that came to help us move sat around for two hours. we ended up having to shell out $40 to rent a uhaul, and good news! we are moved in! mostly.
it's extremely exciting/hectic. there are boxes and totes everywhere and we can't really find anything, but it's fine. we have a/c again! cause when it's mid 90s and all you can think about is how stupid hot it is, even in the shade, air conditioning is all that matters...right? (okay once we left some chocolate bars on the counter and THEY MELTED. IN MY APARTMENT.) inconveniently (or conveniently, depending on how you look at it), in our old place if you decide to talk on your phone anywhere but the west living room wall, your call would drop. we can now talk on our phones in any room in the house! ahh life's simple pleasures.
back to the olympics. it's really annoying that i can't even check the news/social networking sites without getting any kind of olympic spoilers. what the heck.
mikie is taking a summer term english class, and his assignment was to create something. (please teacher, be a little more vague.) his teacher warned them that last time he assigned that, five different girls showed up with the same pinterest-inspired creation. how embarrassing! anyway because the man is an avid olympic fan, this is his freezer paper stencil shirt.
oh and before i forget, efy is in full force on campus... mikie always wants to yell the efy chant to them. these kids definitely dress to impress. oh young love. sorry for the blurred picture, i took it as we drove by them and it was awkward cause they were waving to us and stuff.
in other news, mikie was mistaken for a new-ish rm again. i married such a youthful looking guy huh? then some ward members who came to help us clean asked mikie when he got off his mission. jokingly, i asked them to guess, and all they said was "well...you just look really young." ha!*
i made this. i feel like it's not even a blog post unless i show off some kind of craft. this is every state we've lived in together, and they'll probably end up in the bathroom. also i messed up on idaho so be nice and don't make fun of it.
and on the extremely educated guess that i won't blog next week, i think i should probably announce that next week is our second anniversary. (ahh, the gift of cotton!) i guess you could say that we're not only non-newlyweds, we're also marriage experts. happy second, mikie boy.
dang. i had something else to ramble on about but i can't remember. instead, happy birthday to my favorite brits, jk rowling and harry potter.
happy tuesday!
*he came home four years ago.

i love this. so glad you have a/c again. its crazy hot here too and i thank the lord every day for our lovely air conditioned apartment since i know a couple who are not so fortunate. also, i'm hoping that mikey actually DID create that shirt and that it wasn't a "my wife will do my homework" sort of thing. happy 2 years! crazy how time flies!

Our first move as a couple was during the Summer Olympics in China. Luckily, we were just moving a few buildings down but it was hard to stay focused on the task at hand. Glad you're all moved in. Happy anniversary!
Those states are very cute. Great craft. People always think that Jordan is really young too. Strange.
