why blog stalking is dangerous

because then you visit your friend's blog announcing her mission call (congrats rebecca!) and you see in her side bar of blogs she reads, a friend of a friend of a friend's blog, and much to your delight it is set on public viewing, and you stalk them... and then you see them talking about homemade cloth button earrings and you think to yourself "that's really cute! i don't have to work until five today! i bet i could do that." and so you start googling diy instructions.

of course, this is all within the ten minutes that your husband is in the shower.

so you drop him off at school and wander to the only craft store in this whole dang town and even though it is ridiculously overpriced, you buy a moda bake shop charm pack of fabric and three packets of diy cover buttons. (only beware, if you try to do this yourself. the button sets didn't come in an even amount advertised on the outside. so lame! even more lame is that said craft store won't take it back.) and before you know it, you've made eight pairs (yes, eight... oh dear.) pairs of button earrings, without the backpost part because rexburg doesn't believe in carrying those at any store in the city limits.

so moral of the story is to live somewhere with more than one limited craft store, and save yourself some anguish, because i have some cute almost earrings that are just begging to be worn.
