in case you missed this brandon flowers video + other random pictures

mikie showed me this video today. we both just wanted to throw out that brandon flowers (of the killers, for all you uneducated people. just kidding, really. i still love you.) is a hunk. and a mormon. and we sure do looove him.



this last weekend we were able to go to utah for byu's homecoming game. woot woot! i love my cougars!

the awesome cody phillips had us over for dinner and cooked us salmon. salmon. SaLmOn. SALMON. salMON. we love the stuff. mikie and i had not eaten salmon for over a year and we were so super excited to eat it. okay true story that has almost nothing to do with this picture of cody: when i got engaged, i was determined to have really good food at my reception. so we planned a huge barbecued salmon dealio and it was going to be really really good and everybody even said it was really good..and guess what i ate for my wedding dinner? chicken nuggets. from mcdonald's, at the airport. sad story. so we were absolutely overjoyed to eat this savory salmon. p.s. that salmon in the picture hasn't been cooked, in case you were wondering. 

i stayed with my friend tayler while we were there, and we had a mini freshman reunion. there was lots of laughing and reminiscing about how weird and immature yet totally funny we were. we are so excited for the rest of the boys to start coming home! the one in the plaid, riley, served his mission in norway and totally pronounced my last name with a norwegian accent, it made mikie's day.

and these last few pictures are from the apple orchard on the byu-i campus. who knew there was an apple orchard? not me. nor my husband until two weeks ago. we picked six pounds and only paid fifty cents per pound. what a steal! i'm going to make some apple crisp this week i think.

okay and last thing. i watched the pilot episode of 'pan am' last night, and i loved it. i wish we lived in a day when flying was a super big exciting privilege! people dressed up to fly! and they all looked so elegant (i realize this is only how the tv show portrayed it, i don't really know what flying back then was really like.). now people fly in like basketball shorts and sweatshirts. when did the suits and dresses disappear? ahh. my sad life, huh?
