apparently i'm bad at blogging.

i am also apparently bad at keeping track of time, ie- did you know that thanksgiving was NEXT WEEK!? cause i didn't! all this time i was so concentrated on finishing up the last few weeks of my job (did i mention that i put in my quitting notice? oops. welp, tomorrow is my last day.) that i didn't even realize that a week from today is thanksgiving, until mikie told me last night right before i fell asleep. i didn't believe him, and he told me again during breakfast. and i still didn't believe him. and then my sister then confirmed it.

AAAAHH! am i going to try to make a turkey!? am i making a feast for the two of us? am i confident enough in my cooking abilities to attempt roasting a turkey (or maybe just a turkey breast...)?

anyway. i got a sewing machine :-) i like it a lot, it's pretty great. i got the brother that carly recommended (plus i've heard so many great things about brothers.)
unfortunately, i haven't used it very much. i was so thrilled to be able to start sewing, but a) i am actually not that great of a sewer, and b) after work i am always exhausted after standing on my feet and helping people for eight hours. so now that i will soon have all the time in the world, i can start sewing! (i never thought i would ever say that.)
sooo since it is so small and lightweight, i might bring it to salt lake for christmas and get some help sewing haha. (pleeeaase carly and lisa?) or maybe not, after all, salt lake just got an h&m and i've been dying to go into one for some time. (okay and speaking of clothes and stuff, and not to sound greedy, but sometimes i wish i could have all things anthropologie.)

i scored this book at d.i. today. did anybody else ever read it? was i the only one with maurice sendak books at home? like, multiple ones. besides where the wild things are. i probably was. anyway. i told mikie how when i was little, this book inspired many meals when my parents were gone. mostly since we always had a bunch of cooked rice on hand, i could just make my self some campbells and plop in a scoop of rice.

well... this is basically life right now. it's not very exciting right now but i just thought i would give an update.

I love chicken soup with rice! Cute book and a tasty lunch. I also love rice in my Campbell's tomato soup. Makes it yummier. Bring your sewing machine on the Christmas trip for sure! I want lessons from Carly and Lisa too and then we can have two machines going at once :)

I love this book! We also had a video of it, in which they sang a cute chicken soup with rice song.

Woopie once, woopie twice,
Woopie chicken soup with rice!

I hope I get to see you guys. I'm meeting Lisa in SLC from the 8th to the 12th. Probably too early, huh?

Have a great Thanksgiving. Just be sure you take the insides out of the turkey before you cook it. (Common first time mistake). YOU CAN DO IT! xoxo

FINALLY you blogged. Sheesh. I've been dying here. Did you even consider that? Why are you quitting your job? I would so love to be doing that right now. Also, I'm jealous of your sewing machine. One day I will have one, and know how to use it. Miss you!
