is it snowing where you are? will you send the snow to me? please?

this post should probably be also known as "most likely the only post of the month." or maybe even "last post of the year." let's be honest- blogging isn't exactly my strong point.

anyway. this is mikie's last week of school, not to mention that we are moving apartments next week, so it's safe to say we are slightly stressed. and by slightly i mean a lot. no matter how many times i've done it... moving is the worst. absolute worst. especially when you have to move the bed and couch and table and everything large, down three flights of stairs. how did we accumulate all this...stuff? how did we get three bikes? and canned fruit? i usually don't ever buy canned fruit (unless they're mandarin oranges). so all i have to worry about is moving, whereas the poor husband is also worrying about finals. poor michael. good luck, cutie! (and good luck to everybody else, as well!)

this is what outside looks like right now... pretty lame! i thought i lived in idaho? i just want a little snow. actually i want a lot of snow. i want lots and lots and lots of snow, that falls overnight and actually sticks to the ground for more than a day. i want to see this!

ahhh. i miss a good freezing winter (what am i saying!?). anyway. we get to see these cuties so soon! only a couple more weeks. this picture cracks me up, mainly because anna is in the background trying to copy jack, but also because jack is throwing up gang signs.

we are meeting up with mikie's side of the family for christmas in utah, and after we are flying to portland to visit mary + christian and kids. we miss all of them lots, and can't wait to see everybody! my camera will finally come out of hiding! oh, and since we are flying to portland, i feel it only appropriate to tell you guys that today, on the 30 Rock facebook page, i read this: "never sleep on planes if you don’t want to get incepted." i feel this is good advice to live by, and we will definitely keep that in mind on our trip.

p.s. it's been almost an entire year since i've set foot in the state i spent twenty years in. i miss everything that i associate with alaska... my family, my great friends, snow, a real mall, and last but not least, taco king.

p.p.s. i am slightly obsessed with all things emily winfield martin right now... especially the dolls. oh the dolls! i am attempting to make one for the recently three-year-old niece, who looooves her baby dolls. it's been slightly challenging journey, learning how to sew rag dolls, but it has been lots of fun!

p.p.s. i need good book recommendations. my life has come to me checking books out at the library about twelve year old demi-gods. i mean, not that percy jackson was a bad read or anything. but c'mon. sympathize with me here.

I've been thinking the same thing. It's snowed twice here in Provo but won't stick. It just doesn't feel like Christmas time!!!

That picture of Jack and Anna is priceless! Jacks expression cracks me up every time I look at it! I am having major winter withdrawals too! It is still in the 60s to low 70s out here! What is this!? I miss snow and zero degree weather! And no Sue, sadly we will not be joining everyone out in UT :(
