| self-explanatory. the kid is awesome. |
we were able to go to salt lake city and portland for christmas break. it was a much needed breather from good ol' rexburg. we moved to a different apartment complex, had our check-out (with high praises from the apartment manager... can we clean or what!?), and decided to drive down to utah that night, all on a tuesday. can we say stressful? STRESSFUL. oh and then on the way home we were in three states in one day, which i guess is pretty cool. but anyway. christmas vacation = much needed. a big thank you to lisa + mark for making it all happen! the food was terrific, the company was even better, and we had so much fun!
mikie woke me up in the middle of the night to tell me for the first time in the almost year and a half we've been married, i was snoring. also, i was snoring too loud and that he couldn't sleep. what!? rude. i don't snore, i never have, i never will! :-) i went back to sleep after being rudely awakened, and woke up all too early to take mikie to his 7:45 class and vaguely remembered my rude awakening and figured it was probably one of mikie's weird sleep talking things. except it wasn't, since the first thing he said to me was "hi snorlax." my husband sure knows the sweetest things to say to me.
so the other day i was browsing pinterest as i am known to do, and once again, for the millionth time in my life became the girl who counted down the days til the latest harry potter book was released. and then i may have even dreamed that i was hanging out with daniel, emma, + rupert at church once and they loved me and we took lots of pictures together. oh harry potter. i feel like all these younger kids who love it don't even love it as much as i did. they never had to wait for the second book to come out nor did they never knew a time when nobody knew how to pronounce "hermione". i almost feel sorry for them, ya know? my friend steph got engaged to my friend devin, who goes to school here, and we have already decided that we are throwing ourselves a harry potter party after they get married and move here, etc. we're having a house cup competition. it will be fantastic.
after all this time?
always.

I loved the days where we all said Hermoine differently. I wish I could come to your HP party. I need more nerdy friends down here. I am so glad you guys had such an eventful Christmas break.
