so in an effort to make our fourth (FOURTH!!) valentine's day extra special, i woke up early enough to make michael homemade chocolate-chip pancakes and his (okay, our) present.
tangent: pancakes have always been a point of hatred in my life. three years ago if you asked me what my least favorite foods were, i would probably say "tomatoes and pancakes" without hesitation.
here's the thing- homemade pancakes taste a lot better, and it took me twenty-three years to figure that out. i'm kind of bummed. i still won't make them unless they're specifically requested, but they are no longer the second-grossest food ever. i attribute it to my ever changing adult taste buds.
then mikie went to school and had to take a test. (bummer!) i read the hobbit at home and did dishes. (all my single friends take note on how glamorous married valentine's is.) mikie came home, and we got burgers for dinner and we watched a chick flick, read more hobbit, and went to bed.
i know that sounds very overwhelming from all the crazy stuff we did, but all in all it was a great day.
ps. on sunday i lost my retainer for good. like, i'm pretty sure i accidentally threw it away. every night since then i've had dreams about having a joyous reunion with my retainer and i no longer have to worry about having crooked teeth anymore. so i guess that's kind of hilarious and also quite revealing.

I have to tell you your pictures looks totally professional, like magazine picture quality! It makes me want some orange juice. And I'm glad you guys have a nice Valentines Day! Our poor little Kirsten had a little too much fun on valentine's day and ended up throwing up all over her bed in the middle of the night. I think she had too much red food coloring at her school party :(. Anyways, I love reading your blog. We miss you guys! Love you!
Seriously! Great picture. I love it. And chill, glamorous married valentines days...
can't believe you haven't been a pancake fan. I will agree though homemade are the best and only way to go. I make these oatmeal pancakes...the best. i'll never go back to regular old buttermilk. never i tell you!
