i decided that i was domestic enough to make banana bread for a gal that i visit teach. it turns out she and her husband are both gluten intolerant. sooo i maybe ate a whole mini loaf for lunch cause i had extra. sometimes it happens okay?
roald dahl is perhaps one of my favorite authors. i spent many a day curled up in bed reading his books when i was a kid, and sometimes it just feels like the right thing to do as an adult. then i made herbal tea and it was really gross. if anybody has any herbal tea recommendations, i would love to know!
the idaho falls museum usually has some great exhibits. right now they are having a wonderful carousel exhibit! i love carousels. i had a carnival themed wedding reception (hopefully in a non-tacky way) and if i could have, i probably would have had a carousel there... maybe a giant ferris wheel too. and clowns! everybody loves clowns! especially at weddings!!!!
in other news:
-we watched the muppet christmas carol the other day. my family watched that movie on vhs every year for christmas, and i mentally kicked myself for not buying it last christmas when it was on sale at target. so i found it at the library and we watched it even though it's march. anyway, the whole time mikie and i were thinking "my! look how young michael caine looks!" haha and then i looked it up and michael caine was looking young at 59.
-delta airlines is giving me a headache.
and
-at the end of the month we hopefully get to see almost all our favorite people in utah. we are so excited!! march, go by fast please!

I hate snow too! Banana bread is delicious and is always a good lunch substitute. Plus, yours looks lovely wrapped up like that! :)
Red Zinger by Celestial Seasonings is my favorite herbal tea by far! But Tazo Passion tea (which you can get at Starbucks and they sometimes sell it in grocery stores) is also really good.
I wish I could see you all in March too! :/
Oh. And I love carousels too!! But sorry, not clowns. I'm actually kinda glad you didn't have one at your reception... and I'm sure my mom is too! She's actually afraid of them... ;P
Lizanne just barely texted me to tell me she was coming at the end of the month. I'm so excited because I think the last time I saw her was her wedding or at least before Kirsten was born.
Mmm those sound really good! Thanks Carly! And we'll miss you while we're in Utah, we'll make sure to send you pictures!
Haha no fears there, I would never actually have clowns at a wedding reception. That would be a terrible idea haha. This does remind me of Jack's "is it a clown?" story though and that's always worth a laugh.
I love Roald Dahl!!
Apple Cinnamon Celestial Seasonings tea is really good and has a lot more flavor than some of the others. Have you tried getting one of those sampler packs? I also like to add honey to all my herb tea - it adds just enough sweetness!
And lastly, that picture of the Redwoods is amazing!
